Since there are a few sponsors visiting this thread I am wondering if the smaller pulley will increase engine vibrations, or what could possible side effect be from a new under drive pulley. I want to use my ac and prefer street ability over maximum horse power

Thanks

I have never seen nor felt one make any extra/other vibration period, but the actual forces the pulleys are made to absorb cannot normally be felt unless you are possibly riding on top of the engine itself.

I have the powerbond 25%, it's smaller but actually heavier than stock by a little, I think this would help engine dampening

What rock have most of you been living under?! UDP have been around forever. TPI motors, 5.0's (the pushrod kind), etc... Always a good mod to do when doing the other bolt ons. I've never really understood why the LS1 community seems to shy away from them. Perhaps not enough "experts" have embraced them

Anyway, I wrote about my SLP pulley experience last year: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...nd-pulley.html

They work great. If you have a weak cooling system you will find out but most people do 160* stat off the bat and always have good luck.

Bingo. There's no downside at all to a 160* stat. As a matter of fact, when I got the Vette tuned Geoff gave me a bit of an ear-full for not having it done yet

Id recommend the powerbond 25%. Save some dough and still have a high quality balancer. Someone said they heard ati doesnt recommend their 25% balancer at all but they still make one which is odd.

Bacon, having ran the PB in the past, I agree. Save the coin and run one. They're great balancers

I just ordered a powerbond 25% ud pulley from speed inc. It came out to be $168. shipped.

I'm assuming it doesn't come with belts... So does anyone have a link to the correct belts for the powerbond 25% pulley?

Their Powerbond are still $178.99 and do not include a new gm bolt. You will def need one. They will run you about $8 or so, and most places wont ship an $8 part for free either.

I found a SLP for $75 around here off craigslist. No bolt, but I can just grab a new balancer bolt from GM correct?

Correct. 12557840 is the part number for the bolt.
