Default mast small bore ls3 heads for ls6

I searched and read here...any further testing? Looks like a proper cam profile can smooth the lack of low end due to big intake runner volume. The comment that they come on like a lightswitch at 4500 was made. I just think it may be a 'win' with these if I debate on doing a 2.3 tvs blower on down the road. Even if I don't, they still make HP! My alternative purchase would be the TFS or Livernois St3.

I don't think you can go wrong with a custom cam spec'd for the MAST heads. Properly setup, they will make some steam.

They were made for the 346, so no, I don't think they are too big. Cam valve events can help the low end if you are worried about power under 4500 rpm's.

That's what I was thinking I just wanted to make sure I am understanding right. Shifting the power band like that with the cam to compensate for 3-4k shouldn't pull too much away from the top end I wouldn't think.

Just do yourself a favor and have someone set you up with a custom cam to optimize the heads and overall setup.

Ed Curtis has done several cams for the small bore LS3's and I've not heard a single complaint. Then again you never do with Ed.
