dual 2.5 or single 3.5 pros and cons
dual 2.5 or single 3.5 pros and cons I'm getting ready to fabricate all of my exhaust my question is am I going to have any power loss or anything negative by just running from long tube headers into a 2.5 to 3.5 y reducer. Going to go into a spintech. Motor is a 350 ramjet.

usually dual 2½" pipes are about equal to a single 3.75" pipe so by going from dual 2½ to single 3½ you arent really going to give up much if any power but it would obviously sound better but cost more and weigh more if you kept it dual 2½ all the way.
Dual 2.5" pipes and a single 3.5" pipe flow almost the same. The dual 2.5" pipes do flow slightly better, and will sound a little better than a single 3.5" pipe but otherwise I don't see any noticeable power difference. One advantage running the single 3.5" pipe has is less overall weight since you'll be running only 1 muffler, not 2. So there also might a price advantage depending on muffler choice.
