Default built me a new exhaust. .

Well I figered id share, I know it's nothing that hasn't been done a thousand times but iv took alot from this site so I figered id give back a little.
First of all yes my car is nasty underneath from a leaking rear main seal that I also fixed, secondly yes im a horrible welder lol but being that I have vary little experience and it did all seal up I was happy with it.
I based the exhaust off of the mufflex cat back system, its 3.5in the hole way with just a dynomax muffler I ordered off eBay, I used mandrel bends I also got from eBay. I have a total of $240 in this system and I feel it's a much better option as far as performance go's vs the average 3in catback systems you can buy most places. It was surprisingly ease to build, took me 3 hours to do it and was able to cut and re-use the factory hangers. Car Is fairly quite driving around with vary little drone (better then most Iv been In) yet It get pretty narly at wot. So if your looking for a little cheaper way to get a good flowing exhaust that's not crazy loud at normal driving this might be something worth lookin into!

Look's like you did a very good job to me, and at least you can weld(I can't).

If you ever decide you want to make it look nicer just buy some Dupli-Color 1200 degree spray paint, or something with a similar high heat range.

Correction: Dynomax Ultra Flo Welded #17517 is the actual part number.

So do you have a sound clip..?

Ill post up an idle clip once I get the car back, its at the tuner right now. And yes that would be the right part number you posted, I just didn't get the stainless steel.

Very nice! It reminds me that welding needs to be higher on my list of automotive skills to acquire.

Thanks guys, seems like im always so busy I get in a hurry with things and it don't turn out quite as nice as you had planned but as long as it works and does what you want it to. I also did tsp 1 7/8 longtubes with there 3in ory aswell. Now it's time for a higher compression cammed engine and it will really sound nice!

I've seen "professionals" make welds that look a lot worse. I like the built not bought attitude when it saves some cash.

Can you give a parts list of what all you used "ordered" so I can get a better idea of what all I would need. Thanks

I did it with 3 of the 3.5in 90 degree u bends, 2 - 3.5in band clamps, the muffler 17517 dyno max muffler. I guess you also need about a 3 foot piece of straight pipe which I had at the shop. That's all you really need other then the tools to cut and weld. The tsp y pipe narrows down to like 2 3/4in piping to fit a factory catback, I also took the chop saw to that and cut it right where the pipes merge which turned out perfect cause it was 3.5 there so no where in the system does it go smaller then 3.5.
