Default header install question

installing pacesetters this weekend on an 02 camaro and wondering if the stock ignition wires will work or do I need to pick up some MSD wires. I plan on doing a coil pack relocation later on and was going to wait to do the wires then, unless it is necessary now. thanks

Stock wires will work. Just keep in mind that they're 12 years old.

Do LS1 and LS2 wires differ? Also, when I go on Texas Speed I'm given the option of NGK TR-55 or TR-6 plugs. Any real difference between the two on a stock tune? When I go headers, ORY-back and either of the above plugs would I need a tune?

The reason I ask is that I'm looking at an 00 WS6 and an 06 GTO, wondering if I start ordering parts now if they'll be able to fit both then.

TR6 is a colder plug. People that use nitrous will generally use the TR6 to avoid detonation from hotter plugs.

If you plan on making more HP in the future with other parts, then the colder TR6 will be the better choice once those parts are installed. TR55 for now is good tho.

You should also install the poly motor mounts since you're already under there.

Thanks, I'll switch wires if I notice anything wrong with them being that they are so old. As for poly mounts, I plan on doing heads and a cam this winter, so I planned on doing it then.

Default longtube header install write up?

Is there a write-up to follow for installing long tube headers on a 4th gen fbody LS1 6 speed car? I cannot seem to find one.

I just ordered speed engineering 1-7/8" headers without the AIR/EGR and looking to install them into my 1999 Camaro SS 6speed.

Wanted to see what the steps involved were to see if it was feasible to install myself.
