Default FYI on Y-pipe banging

Well I just called Kooks on my Y-pipe problem banging an vibrating the whole car. The guy said the tranny mount is the most likely fix. He said first loosen the band clamps and pull on the pipe to bend it down a bit. Then install a poly tranny mount without a plate and with the "knubs" grinded down.

He said without the plate and knubs the vibrations will be minimal but to check the hieght if it is taller than stock it will make it worse. Something about on the stock or 1LE mount the TA pushes the tranny upward as the car accelerates and the pipe bangs.

I also have a motor mount coming which I will install next. But I'll try what Kooks tech said and post the results. I had a poly mount in my 93 for about 5 days drove me crazy he said with knubs that I'll barely notice it. We'll see....
