Default Suggestions

So I haven't purchased anything for the car in quite some time and would like to buy it a present. I'm looking to add some power and hoping for some advice as far as where my money would be best spent. The car currently has a TSP torquer v2 cam, supporting mods for cam, long tubes, and that's about it I guess. Motor is from a 2004 gto.

I was eying a fast 92 manifold/throttle body in the classified section (comes with 48lb injectors, is that overkill for where I'm at?)

Also been considering buying new heads but not sure which heads...(suggestions?)

Any other suggestions for mods?

Thanks for the help guys.

IMO the fast isn't overkill, but I'd go after heads first. What's your budget?

Well I'd like to keep it close to/below $2k so I'm sure I'm pretty limited as far as heads go but may splurge a little if it's not too crazy expensive.

And when I was referring to overkill I meant the injectors...is that too much injector or would 48's be ok where id be at

For 2k you can get some pretty good heads actually. Those injectors will be fine once the car is tuned for them

Any head suggestions? I don't want to change cam so it would need to suit it

Well I used to run the Torquer 2 cam with my PRC 5.3 heads and it was a nice combo. You can get the heads for around $1200 from Texas Speed. They do pretty damn good for the money

One more question for you. For the prc heads, what is the different between the ls6 heads and 5.3? The price difference isn't much so I'm just wondering if it would be better to get the ls6 heads..

Get the LS6's if it's in the budget.

I'd personally pick up the phone and call, ask for Aaron (doesn't matter WHO, but that's who I always talk to) and see what they think. It's their cam / heads... They'd know best.

The ls6 heads will give another 5-10 hp at the peak. They are a great bang for the buck too
