Default Thinking about swapping intake setups.

So the setup on my 02 z28 is
Stock 5.7
-Patriot 5.3 stage 2.5 heads
-TSP 598./598. 231/231 112 lsa
-Super Victory Intake, Edelbrock low profile with Nick Willams 90mm TB-speed density
-3400 stall, 3in Exhaust, 3.73s

The car runs great especially with a little nozzle kit i did. But I feel like I could be running a bit faster if I wasn't running the setup.
Best pass on motor 11.87 @112
Best pass on spray (100 shot) 11.05@124 (leaving soft)

Now I am thinking about switching intake setups cause I've been researching a little and it seems like this intake is possibly too much haha. Or it's not necessary.

My options are Vic jr intake with accufab TB or the simple FAST 90/92mm.

It is my daily and like I said the car runs and drives great, but what's you guys opinion on the current intake setup right now? Is it overkill? Is it fine?

P.S. it looks killer as hell stuffed under the stock z28 hood though haha

That setup should run faster than 112 mph. Sounds like something other than your intake is holding you back

60ft on motor 1.63

I think the mph was low due to slipping. I have yet to make a pass with the new transmission.

The Super Vic I've read flows at a very high rpm, my car is only shifting at 6200-6300

Not only that, but, make sure that you are taking advantage of the added timing a carb style intake allows for. Should be able to run 34 degrees @ WOT on 93 & 11.5:1 SCR, 8.4 DCR. So, check on this. Also raise shift RPM to 6800. Don't go back to an EFI style (air entering one end of the intake) carb, 'cuz you will have to limit timing to 26-28* max..
