Question LS1 or LS6 intake

My LS1 intake is cracked "BAD" and needs to be changed! I'm on a tight budget right now so my questions are.. Should I get another LS1 or get a LS6? Of course I want more power and to go faster but If I get an LS6, will I see a difference and how will my car act until I get it retuned? I have a cam, headers, full exhaust, + more, with a tune now. How should it act if I change it until I get it retuned? If I buy an LS6 intake it will be a little while until I can get it retuned. I need to get one or the other asap but want some input to help me decide. Thanks

Definitely get the ls6 intake...especially since you have some decent mods

If you can afford it, definitely go for the LS6.

OK I get that the LS6 is better but no one has commented on how it will act until I get it retuned. Will it still be better than the LS1 and how will it act.

I'd presume it would "act better" and you'd also be one more step ahead. Don't forget you'll need to decide if you're shaving the bottom of the intake to continue using the coolant pipes or if you'll spend the money to buy the crossover and plugs. You might also want to consider the '04 LS6 PCV conversion, but that'll set you back another $100.

I already have a set of LS6 coolant tubes and block offs. What is the purpose ofthe PCV conversion?

Get the bbk, people are asking $350-$400 you can get the bbk for right around $400. If you want to at some point and time the bbk can be ported out. The bbk is more hp than the ls6 also.
