Default Distributor on 6.0

So I'm thinking on maybe using my spare 6.0 longblock on my project but it needs to run a modified Ford/GM hybrid distributor so it can work and allow me to tune the ignition.

What are you all's experience with the GMPP distributor kit?

They're good. They require quite a bit of clearancing if you run a double roller timing set though.

I won't be running a double roller, anything else? Also is GMPP the only maker of these?

It would probably be cheaper and easier to just run a MSD 6LS controller and stock coils.

I know that but my application requires an ignition module that works with distributors. It wouldn't work well with the msd 6ls

As far as I know, yeah, GMPP is it. They're easy to install. They have a provision for a mechanical fuel pump too, but I can't remember if they come with a block off or not.

I don't remember what the gear is made if either so you may want to check to see what material your distributor gear will need to be.
