While NGK spark plugs are the norm around here, I've had better luck using ACDelco plugs in my vehicles.

And of course, zero ohm wires from Granatelli Motorsports. Lifetime warranty and that zero ohm feature.

Plugs and wires are disposable wear items. Why wouldn't you use them on a new engine?

I like the TR6ix Plugs and I check the resistance on the wires everyti me I do plugs to make sure they are all about the same, I'd change the copper NGK's at least once a year.

I have the Granetelli wires too and I love them, got them with the heat shields around the boots. Which makes seating them on the plug a little tricky.

if the plug wires are not damaged leave them alone...replace them when they need replaced not "just because" and definitely not if you think plug wires are going to give you more HP on an n/a street ls engine...the stock ignition system is very efficient

the MSD wires you have are already very low resistance compared to stock, have bendable boots, etc

cuz they have no resistance? aka juice would flow better? unless u have a reason for them not being good?

I bought a set of Gran wires several years back. I saw zero gains on the dyno from back to back testing with a set of MSD's. The wires either break or separate from the metal crimps that attach to the plugs(Yes I'm taking them off properly) I had four replaced under warranty. I then had two more do the same thing. I through them in the trash and went back to my MSD's which I have never had a problem with.

From my experience they are not worth the extra money.

LilJayV10, thanks for chiming in here.

While nobody can ever say wires alone will add HP, I for one found my engine to be more responsive when cracking the throttle open.

I've never really heard of people having them break, mostly people say they're well made and don't break. I suppose there's always the exceptions.

I'm glad the MSD wires worked out for you.

I had a custom set of Firecore 50 made. Absolutely the best. Just the sound of how they clip on to the plugs is different.
Excellence is never cheap, but these are good value for the quality.
