Default Does this bolt on combo sound good?

OK guys,
I've been researching into my full bolt on setup that I'm installing this spring, and I'm starting to worry myself.

02 WS6 with 90,000 miles, T56 with new Monster Stage 2 clutch

Mod list to be installed:
-SLP LM2 Cat back (installed already)
-TSP 1-7/8 Stainless headers
-TSP ORY Stainless
-SLP lid
-Potz Speed port/polish throttle body (78mm?)
-SSRA Cold Air kit
-MSD wires and NGK plugs
-Frost mail order tune

My newbie question comes down to will the combo compliment itself? I ordered the 1-7/8 headers & 3" ORY on a whim back when TSP had an excellent sale (got them both for $490 shipped), but that was also before I fully researched into setting up a combo properly.

On my stock cube, stock internal LS1, will I be losing any power anywhere below peak? The LM2 is 2.5" I think, so will that cause any power loss because it "chokes" down?

Does this setup sound like a good bolt on setup? I'm going to do heads/can down the road, probably 5 years or so, that was the only thought process that ran through my mind when I impulse bought the large headers. I could sell them and buy 1-3/4 if that would be better. I know the 1-3/4 vs 1-7/8 issue has been beat to death, but I'm looking for the input on my setup specifically.

Thanks guys

The loudmouth 2 has a 3" intermediate "I" pipe into dual 2.5" tail pipes, so no restriction there. Rest of the combo sounds good, 1-7/8" all the way. I would pass on the throttle body and wait for a bigger intake manifold.

What intake is on the car now ? I would add poly motor and trans mounts to the list.

Its got the stock LS6 intake. I've got poly mounts to put in when I do the headers. And I actually didn't know that it was a 3" intermediate, I could never find a clear answer. It was on the car when I bought it, sounds good enough now. Gonna hate it come spring time

I've got plans for 3.73s down the road, but I'm fine with my 3.42s currently. I seriously considered getting an under drive pully, but for the $/HP ratio AND the possible charging/cooling issues, as a DD street car, I decided against it.

My 99 SS had bolt ons and a frost tune and made awesome power with TSP 1 7/8/ ORY setup. Mods included-
Lid
Shaner S3 throttle body
LS6 manifold
AIR/EGR delete
NGK TR55 plugs
TSP 1 7/8 headers
TSP ORY
GMMG catback
Frost tune
Engine was internally bone stock

I made 361hp/365tq
The last mod I made was the TSP/ORY from manifolds and made 331hp/330tq

The TSP 1 7/8 is a good choice . And the LM 2 is alright . But I believe its 2 3/4 off the cat , then necks down to 2 1/2 after the resonator. If you dont have to run cats go 3" off your LTs to a Flowmaster 3" - 3.5 or 4 all the way.

this^^.... and if you're after good numbers with bolt ons a good underdrive pulley is worthwhile. you have a 6 speed so charging issues are the last thing you should be worried about

Add some 4:10s to that list and you'll have an excellent bolt on set up

Why would a pulley not affect charging/cooling on an M6?

With the 6 speed you have the ability to maintain higher rpms longer which will reduce charging time. But it depends on how you drive .

That's a solid point. I do tend to use the gears to slow down instead of just neutral/brakes.

Firecore 50 wires are the hot ticket. I wouldn't do the msd wires. They good but not the best.......

Not entirely. That does help but its more along the lines of with an auto you are idling at roughly 550 in gear, which your in most of the time. An m6 idles stock at 800 so its constantly spinning everything faster at idle so the underdrive has much more of a diminished effect than it would on an auto.

Wires dont make any difference in hp. LS coils have plenty of fire that the wires really dont matter all that much. Pick your favorite brand and color and have at it. I'd go for the ones that tend to not come apart like msd moroso etc. Thats really the only reason to spend a good bit of money on wires

I guess I didn't realize an auto idles so low. I may look into one a little more. What brand is the best when it comes to balance and belt-slippage problem? I appreciate all the input so far. My MSD wires are holding up just fine, I bought them because I wanted red wires and they were a good deal, not because I was worried about spark issues. I really only need to buy the SSRA and the frost tune still, I have everything else.
