It's a new company on the block. Check them out. They called carven exhaust.

Cold road and it is a cell phone video but it sounds pretty good. I have 1 3/4" pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, a 3.5" Classic Chambered powerstick (like torchd), and GMMG catback. At high RPM it actually takes on the tone of the powerstick quite a bit. I had 2.5" powerstick duals on my Formula for a while and I can hear it compared to my friend who has GMMG and an extra GMMG resonator in the I-pipe. His is far more aggressive with more bass at idle. Food for though as well, the GMMG resonator is only 2.5" ID. I personally wouldn't put one in my I-pipe.

Nursing the 3rd gear synchro. Shifts are at 6600. I don't have any idle videos but it is rather tame for a GMMG car. It has ported 5.3 heads and a baby cam.

I have researched 14419 and really have found nothing that tells me those are the ones. You are such a believer can you post a sound clip?

I don't have any with the duals I had. Only the MagnaMouth conversion I di before I did the TSP duals. There's others on here though that have done it that I'm sure will chime in.

That's subjective. I ran them with a full HCI car and it wasn't bad at all. I also had the tips turned 45* OUT, which is where some people screw up. Of course pointing them straight down at the road is going to be louder.

Remove the carpet and its a completely different story. You'll NEED earplugs or muffs at that point. I know. I did it.

I vote true duals... but out the back. Makes them very tolerable. I have them with a 4200 stall and it can be annoying as hell stuck behind morons going like 35mph (since I have lockup set at 40 and non-locked the RPMs are usually in the 3000s so it's loud as **** barely going down the road). But driving with the converter locked is nice. It also sounds good when you get on it a bit. Two vids: one driving regular down the street and one at part throttle acceleration. Also, never mind my rattle. My torque arm relo bracket and exhaust are rubbing. I need to fix it.

Price of the Kooks TDs are actually about the same as a good Y-Pipe (like the ARH or Kooks Y) and something like the GMMG exhaust. The difference is no rasp and the ability to support a lot more horsepower out of the box. And since weight is similar, cost is similar, and fitment... well let's just say the Kooks TDs were the easiest thing to install on my car in terms of fitment and finish quality... it really should be a no-brainer to go for the Kooks.

BINGO!! Like I said on this thread before I paid 1200 bucks shipped for my kooks true duals......
Jake, a kooks Y pipe is 400 bucks and the gmmg exhaust system is 750 bucks. It's only a 50 dollar difference between the two!!

When I bought my system, I got 1-7/8" Kooks LTs, the TDs, O2 sensor extensions, and the BMR Panhard Bar relo bar and DS Safety Loop for $2200 shipped.

When I looked at the ARH 1-7/8" setup with the ARH Y-Pipe and the GMMG exhaust... it was 2100 shipped...

I 2nd the motion for Kooks being cost effective if you look at the whole package. Love mine and would never go back to a Y even with GMMG (which, IMO, is the best sounding Y - catback you can get for an LS).

I'll hop in. I just went from TSP to GMMG & anticipated the change, so I took a bunch of before/after in the same place without changing anything else.

Setups:
TSP- Pacesetter LT's, x-pipe, bullets, dumped before axle

GMMG - Pacesetters, magnaflow high-flow cats, late model y magnaflow merge, GMMG

TSP outside garage

GMMG outside garage

TSP inside

GMMG inside

Now, I wish I had the TSP inside the car, but my gopro was acting weird at the time.

GMMG inside short romp

GMMG under car

I was trying to get some driveline and pinion angle footage, but since I had the camera mounted on the sway bar, it didn't come out like I wanted.

I really wish I had the luxury of going with the Kooks originally. I HAD to get the exhaust done before I could register the car & couldn't afford the $$ at the time. The GMMG has a touch of rasp that I'd rather not have, but it isn't as bad as the drone the TSP had (angled down, not out).

Thanks for those vids spent21. I've been debating on taking my tsp duals off and going with the gmmg but can't make my mind up. I love how my duals sound but with my car lowered I'm scraping everywhere and can't stand smelling the gas inside the car and can't stand trying to have a conversation over them. I really like how the gmmg sounds in videos but never heard one in person and idk how I would like the rasp with LT and a ORY.... decisions decisions

glad I found this thread. have a magnaflow catback on my camaro right now. 15684.

picked up a 3" true dual setup and going to put on either a pair of borla XR1's 40943

or

kooks bullets R300-10

leaning more towards the kooks just since i can get both of them for the same price as a single borla xr1

You may also consider Holley's Hooker BlackHeart system. I had never heard of it until last week. I may have gone this route had I known about it.
