Y-pipe install. The pair in the Y will probably
gain you a little more exhaust flow and cost
you more money and sound "meaner". But if
you put them too close to the cats & front
O2s this may mess up your tune. Also with
the tight exhaust routing in spots you have
a limited set of options.
I would first plan out the location, look at
some of the install pics on QTP & McCord
web sites and here, and once you know for
sure what fits where, and matches your
plumbing / plan, then pick single 3 /
dual 2.5 as suits you best.
I have a single 3" McCord out back. It works
for increasing TQ/HP, back there, still, and
the little bit of chuff-chuff past the blade
can't be distinguished from the muffler when
closed; further up front an exhaust sound
might be more noticeable. The further up you
are the more pipe restriction you bypass and
the more in- / under-car noise you will have
to like.
