ok, i've heard so much stuff about people putting mafs on their autos and havin problems, wondering if anyone can finally clear all this up for me? and whether i should get one or not and which companies you reccomend? i was thinkin granatelli??? i think that's how you spell it, or slp. so any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. oh and mods in sig, ~450rwhp and a dynotune comin up soon after a couple more mods.
contact whoever is tuning your car and see what they recommend. you plan for spray to hit that 450rwhp cuz you wont hit it with the mods in your sig unless you add some heads.
The aftermarket mafs always seem to be more trouble than they are worth. Put that money towards the most important mod for an A4, a 3500+ stall converter and then heads or N2O.

actually, jrp. i got the 450 from thunderracing.com they had a dyno sheet online with the t-rex cam and complete bolt ons and had 450rwhp, stock heads n/a. and i do have a yank pro thrust 4400 in a ups truck right now. i just wanted to see what people thought bout aftermarket mafs on an a4. i've just heard nothing but problems. thanks everyone!

No offense but that 450rwhp has yet to be duplicated on any other than TR setup. 420/430 is more like reality.
Also a Yank 4400 will make you loose more dyno power not make more. It does make your ET's quicker though.
As far as MAF goes, I have a GMAF and never had problems with it. If you're spraying wet, then don't bother. If you're spraying dry you could get the NOS calibrated GMAF.
However stock MAF with ported ends is good for 600 horses and much more flexible in tuning, works good with MAFT so you can tune and de-tune for before and after track.

aparently you missed the part where he has a rebuilt motor, 241 heads, and a 6sp. no one else has been able to duplicate 450rwhp.
