My temperature is the same!!!?!?!?!

I just finished installing my 160 thermostat and wired up my SLP fan switch just to find out my temperature is still at a dissapointing 210. What gives?? Is there something else i need to bring my temp down? I expected at least a slight decrease. Get back to me please.

autotap it...stock gauge is worthless

Your temp is lower than what your gauge reads. Don't worry about it. 99+ cars came with a POS temp gauge.

Even with the stock dummy temp. gauge I saw a slight decrease in temp. Did you make sure to get all the air out of the cooling system? Did you drive it around or just idle till you hit 210?

I agree with you on this.. You might notice a very very small change in the temp reading, but nothing that would suggest a change in coolant temps of more than 20* as most people expect after a 160* t-stat install. During city driving with the fan control switch on I do see a small decrease in temp on my stock temp gauge, but it is very small.
