Default Mufflex with Magnaflow muffler???

Hi a friend of mine is willing to swap out his Mufflex 4 inch cat back with a spintech dual out with the oval stainless tips for a dual\dual. He has a 387 car that he is trying to "Tame" a little.

Anyways I LOVE the way it sounds and we have similar cams, I love the looks of the tips in a TA. But after using the faithful search button it seems that the Spintech is not a good flowing muffler some modded guys loosing over 20rwhp. While I'm looking for a GAIN over my WS6 exaust.

So after researching I came up with a Magnaflow muffler with a 4inch inlet and dual 3" outlet, I'd have to measure the rest of it but would this be a good replacement? Any ideas on how crazy it would sound? One of the things I like about the Mufflex\spintech is the deep mellow sound at idle...

The Magnaflow PN is 14594 anybody try this?? I hate being the Guniea pig

Any suggestions? Opinions?? Mods are in sig for the most part except for a ported TB and soon 30# injectors and a pulley and of course cat back. Hopeing to pull over 425-430rwhp at up to 6800rpm..

Bobby

I am thinking of that same thing, just don't know if it will work. If you find out let me know.
