When you say MAF, do you mean MAP??
The kit instructions show a plug for a MAP sensor but it doesn't list a MAP sensor in the parts list. It also says it's optional.
I would think this means it'll work without a MAP. However, I'll bet it runs better with one.

A MAF is needed to adjust the fuel curve. As the MSD kit is for spark only, is doesn't include or need a MAF and there's no way to connect it to a MAF.
