Question Hilborn-style stack injection

I've just sumbled across this at the Gen 3 site.
Anyone know of anyone who has it?
I know it's not cheap but if you're upgrading intake/injectors/MAF anyway it doesn't seem quite as bad!!!!
(And yes, I know it won't go under your hood! )

I know it's expensive at first glance but when you add up the cost of individual components going another route......it's still expensive!!
But you know what I mean. FAST intake 800+ported TB 400+ high flow MAF 400+ injectors 300+ fuel rails 300+ air filter 200.......
That's nearly $2K

Nate,
What does it flow (what HP will it support regardless of the injectors)?
How easy is it to install and tune in? I presume it runs in open loop?
Facility for NOS?
Anything you can tell me or direct me to would help me.
I don't suppose it's on special.

Tom.

No one wants to spend $3500 on an intake that produces a frigging 317hp motor. You can get a sheetmetal intake cheaper than that, and it still looks cool.

Hehey! It's a pricey downgrade eh!
Not sure they're going to sell many then.
Just looking for the lowdown on the product.

I have to say that for a downdraft 8 runner manifold/tb set up, it would have to be running on 'Bud-lite' not to make good gains.
I think they do mention RWhp on a stock LS1.
But I don't know crap about it, that's why I was asking.

317rwhp is not an uncommon bone stock dyno result. Either stock as stock gets, or mybe an $80 lid. Zero performance aspect. Weak and pathetic. As for the asthetics, it is unique, but I'd rather put the money towards a cool paint job or a bitchin set of wheels, OR A FRIGGING DIRECT PORT NITROUS SETUP AND FORGED PISTONS/RODS. That or I'd spend it at the nudie bar.

Oh I'm sure it works just fine, it's just worthless from a performance perspective.

Oh Andy! You are such a bad boy!

I am still trying to find out some tech details. Maybe I'll post some if I get hold of some.

Oh it's a Hell of an aesthetic mod, just lacking in performance. Would look sweet on the Lola. It would look really awsome with a clear window in the hood above the bells. I'd love to see someone try forced induction on this setup

call SCOTT @ GEN3 for real details, but ive seen them in person and they are awsome!
the cnc work is flawless, but was designed for old school HOT ROD applications....
novas, 32 fords, etc... i guess theres lots of old cars here in san diego that are crusing around with ls1 427 motors and that awsome set-up! i think i remember SCOTT saying it was more for looks than performance? not sure if it flows better than an ls6 but im sure it does! its a straight shoot to the intake port! and he is also a tuning guru... give him a call. hes a straight up nice guy that knows his ****. A+ SHOP!

not sure if it flows better than an ls6 but im sure it does!
Not entirely sure how to interpret that.

The maker even claims it to be an appearence oriented item, not performance oriented.
