Default Soft lines for coolant crossover/steam pipe?

Hey all. I want to do the LS6 valley cover with the built in PCV because Im having blow by issues on decel after a WOT run with my LS1 setup, even with a catch can. I see a lot of debate on whether or not to block off the rear crossover and just run the front for clearance purposes for the new valley cover. What would be wrong with cutting the LS1 crossover and just running a soft line like a rubber vacuum line or a steel braided line? I would think that you could just put a soft line to connect the front and the back and route it out of the way and put hose clamps? I saw the kit on ebay to completely replace the lines but $4 worth of hose and clamps is better than $150. Thanks.

Don't see why it wouldn't work. That's all we're doing with these TB coolant bypass mods. A rubber hose clamped on a hard line works there at the same pressure and line size.

Probably what I'll end up doing. Expensive kits are clown shoes for my setup. With the #7 issues LS cars have and the possibility that's it's trapped steam/hotspot I would never cap off the rear when a simple fix can suffice.

I tapped the steam vent holes in the heads & used high pressure fuel line (soft line). There are no issues created by using soft lines. Would suggest staying away from vacuum hose, though. Need something rated higher than 16 ps1 @ 240* F, minimum.

Thanks guys, thats what I was wondering if the heat and pressure was too much for soft lines. Any suggestions as to where I could get some soft line that would be rated higher than regular vacuum line? Thanks.
