Default Tune now or later?

I finally put on my SLP loudmouth 1 exhaust with the lid/bellows, should I tune now or wait until I put more into my car?

a good tune never hurts, but a good dyno tune can be costly. you could probably get by with a handheld or mailorder tune now to save some money, or just drive it as is.

Did you do just a catback or full exhaust?

What mods do you have planned? If you intend to do a ls6 intake and or headers wait and tune then. If you don't plan any other serious engine mods, tune now.

You don't need a tune for the mods you have done but if the car is on a stock tune they can maybe squeeze out some performance anyway, especially with it being an automatic.

I'll be putting TSP headers + catted y-pipe and ported TB (and maybe ls6 intake)

not sure to do 3/4 or 7/8 headers for my minor build

If you haven't put on headers yet, then don't bother with the tune. Wait until you do that before you pay for a tune.

This man speaks the truth. I wish I'd have understood this many years ago when I purchased a used set of 1 3/4" headers.

i decided when i put my motor in back in January i wouldnt pay for a tune until i was done,

i will now finally have my mods complete
lid, bellow, headers, true duels, ls6 intake. and i don't regret it at all,

only thing i regret is beating on it "pretune"
