Default Intake question

Hey all. New here and looking for info on the LS1 intakes. I've got an LS1 with no intake, computers, anything. Just the block and heads. Been looking around and found the Edelbrock intake to convert over to carburated system. Anyone used this? Or any thoughts? Would save me tons without having to mess with the computer and sensors too. I'm looking for a car to put this in and it will most likely be an older Camaro or even a Chevelle. Going to tear it down and rebuild it while I am at it! Thanks

An intake and carb would be much cheaper than the fuel injection setup. Should be very easy to tune.

$$(intake + carb )
vs.
$$( intake + injectors + computer + harness + sensors + etc...)

On the other hand, if you are going into an older body car with some hood clearance I'd look into a magnacharger for some head snapping fun.

Darn you!!! Now a new set of questions!?!?!?!?! Magnacharger work without the original computer system?
