Thumbs up

Nice, I might be getting a set soon as well...are those the 'race style' (no AIR/EGR provisions) versions?

Nope, based off Hookers design. (Changed for better fitment in a few ways)

So your saying the Hooker designed LT will fit better than Kook's/QTP's? Then why are Kook's/QTP's considered "cream of the crop."

No, I think he's saying that they were changed from the Hooker design (that they're similar too) to fit better, not the QTPs/Kooks...which still are the "cream of the crop" IMO.

Good luck w/ that jet hot coating. I did a search a while back on LT's b/c i was about a second away from ordering up some jet hots but i found pics posted of what they look like months down the road and i was not impressed, now i'm saving up a few hundred dollars extra to go w/ stainless QTP's...keep us posted on how they hold up.

I did searching too before I bought them...I seen the problems. But everyone here in MN that I know hasnt had any problems. They dont drive their cars in the winter...I did a post about the peeling issue, but got few replies.

LS1LT1: Yes, these are the race style. Last night I took the egr and air system off the car...it looks so much cleaner now without all that junk cluttering stuff up

yeah that mild steel will rust through the coateing at some point. Its worth teh $ if you have ot to get stainless. Of course if you wnat to coat your stainless headers in jetHot the you have one bad *** set of headers!

i dont know for sure, but i think those of you that have problems with coatings are living in places where it snows (salt on roads). ive had mine for almost a year and they look exactly like the day i bought them. some of hte other f-body people have had them longer than i have and they also have no problems. gotta love florida

They're on.

Now I just need a y-pipe (and new plugwires) and I'll be all set. And yes, I am going to start it for a minute with the open headers...lol..I cant resist

Has anybody thought about spraying clearcoat high temp engine paint on the collectors? I know AZ has some 1200 degree clear paint, and I think im gonna spray just the collectors and maybe the bottom half of the primaries. Hopefully that will help resist the nasty winter weather and salted roads around here.

I did the same thing , and what is with this Y-Pipe stuff, what about the X-Pipe? I guess this means we will have to race again though
