If you're scraping up money to do this, then go ebay. If you want a warranty or some sort of guarantee on the parts, go WS6 store. Depends on your priorities

You could always try the TPIS 90mm ls6 mod. If you have an ls6 intake, send it in and for $350 they will remove the 78mm inlet and attach a 90mm 4 bolt ls2 inlet. The LS6 intake flows great, its biggest limiter in the small 78mm inlet. With this mod alone the ls6 will match or exceed a (non ported) FAST 90.

Information in this thread is all over the place.
Fast 90 is the oldest version of the large mouth intake. It was made alongside the FAST 78mm and they share the same runner design but the upper shell has a 90mm flange. It uses a factory fuel rail and injector type.
Fast 92 is the revised version of the 90mm. Changes the MAP sensor mounting and some changes to the runners were made. It might make slightly more power at some parts of the curve than the 90mm but not enough to be overly concerned with. Also uses stock type rail and injectors. It was discontinued and replaced with the FAST 102 LSXR intake, but due to demand they brought it back in a black finish. (original was gray plastic)
Fast 102 LSXR is the most potent and can use a 102mm or 92mm throttle body. Requires newer style fuel rail but I'm not sure on injector type. Even on a stock ls1 this will net the most gains but they seem to be more difficult to tune with the 102mm throttle body.
Does TPIS even still do snout conversions? They most certainly will not exceed a Fast intake. I'm not even sure they would match a Fast 78mm (which is a damn good bang for buck if you can find one and uses the stock throttle body to further reduce the costs).
The Fast intakes make their power in the plenum volume and runner design more than the snout size. By the time you figure $350-400 for an LS6 intake if he doesn't have one and $350 for the conversion you are already at or over the price of the Fast.
I would look at the Dorman intake with some minor porting well before looking at the TPIS if they even still do them.
