What would be the purpose? Just curious.

I cut my base pan down as it was from a truck, so now I don't have enough oil volume, if I add the relocation kit and a bigger filter it should do it for me, not looking to break the bank so hoping this kit works!

"Trans-Dapt Performance remote oil filter relocation kits allow you to move your oil filter to a more accessible location, making filter changes quick and easy. They're available in single or dual filter kits. Dual filter kits double the filtration of your oil system to keep oil cleaner and add an extra quart of oil capacity." On the Corvette you could run a larger filter for more filtration or just to change just the filter in between oil changes. The average guy probably wouldn't want it but racers might find it useful.

What vehicle are you using this kit in?

It's not listed for any modern LS engined vehicles.

Remote oil filters are a great idea. It removes the filter from header pipes and usually uses a larger filter, never a bad idea.

Fair enough, I just never really thought about it myself. Have not seen anyone do it either but it does make sense with headers being right next to the stock location of the filter.

I like this kit better, it has a more substantial adapter that goes on the block.
