SLP cold air a restriction?
I've got a heads/cam car. Torquer2 PRC 215 and I'm curious if the slp scoop and the front sealed may be a bottle neck. Since it's not a ram air really should I remove the front weatherstripping?

I don't have much experience with the Firebirds but
if the setup (weatherstripping) is trying to make the
airbox draw from the nose space above the divider
panel, then what you want is just to get more /
better air into that space.
On my Camaro I found that the lower grille "nostrils"
were mostly occluded by some bumper styrofoam,
but this was easy to carve away to let more air in.
I did that in conjunction with reworking my SLP CAI
to draw from above, instead of under, the panel and
it improved the incoming air temp quite a bit over
what I saw with the CAI in its original form.
Think about, inspect, the air path and see what you
can do to improve it as it sits.
