Default Clearance with 3" to 4" Flowmaster Merge and 4" Cutout
I just got the flowmaster merge and a 4" cutout and am planning on doing a reducer also so I can run the cutout closed through my catback.

The car does sit pretty low and I am wondering about clearance issues (this thing is huge lol)

My exhaust guy said that it he would advise against it and just do a 3" cutout - he actually has a LS1 Camaro SS as well.

My FM merge doesn't hang any lower than the rest of my exhaust

How much did you pay to have it welded in and installed? I just got quoted $250 but waiting on a second opinion now lol

Now just a 4" merge into a catback. $250 for labor is nuts. IIRC they charged me like $90

I was quoted $450 for labor and some 3” exhaust tubing bends. Needless to say, I took my Flowmaster Merge and went home. I will try to weld it in myself.
