Change exhaust worth it?

Change exhaust worth it? Right now I've got a 1 3/4 header ory and a dumped borla xr1 all 3". This things going to be my dd so I need it quieter. I'm considering doing speed eng 1 7/8 and ory. My question is with a heads cam car would going to like a 4" single and cutout back down to 3" to keep it quiet be worth doing or just keeping the 1 3/4 and staying 3" all the way with a chambered muffler at the back. The set up isn't to radical ls6 intake torquer 2 and prc 215s. If I'm leaving something like 15-20rwhp on the table I want to make the swap.
I gained 20rwhp switching from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 but I also had a ported FAST 92 and kooks tds with my H/C already on the car. I made a thread with a dyno sheet, just search my name. Tuner wasn't surprised at all though.

I ordered the 1 7/8 headers and I'm going with a 4" merge back down to 3 with a hooker max flow and running a 4" cutout.
