I'm doing Texas speed headers now. What a pain in the ***. Had to take off the drivers side motor mount and bracket just to get the header in. Driver side header is about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the car. Can't get the first pipe to the y-pipe to slide on the header. Its hitting the bottom of the car. I not sue if there is a difference on a 2000 WS6 vert or not but damn. Would of liked to drive my damn car while its in the 70's here.

If you are a Kooks fan , then youll like tsp they are very similar in design. The Speed engineering take a different approach on the drive side like most. The Speed engineering header is a great value in this price range it features many quality you would not expect ,for the money. It is light years advanced from the old eBay headers it was derived from. Take note old eBay headers were $ 180 last year are now $160. and I believe it's due to Speed engineering coming out with there new headers. Even non tech , fb guys are getting wise the crap the eBay headers are.

Headers aren't to hard man if you have the tools & know a little bit about working on cars.. Few hours & you're good depending on skills. Depends on what you plan on doing with your car. But if you eventually plan on camming it Id do 1-7/8" just so you already have them. I went with 1-3/4" Pacesetters & fit perfectly & gained 30rwhp with them.

On a side note I just saw that Pacesetter got 1-7/8" LT headers now? Anyone else see/have these?

Speed engineering are 100% the best bang for the buck.. they fit perfect and run tight along the bottom of the car, which is important being I'm lowered 2".. poly mounts are a must and install was easy for me, just took my time.

I'm VERY pleased with my Speed Engineering 1 7/8" longtubes. I truly believe that there is not a better 1 7/8" longtube for the price for our cars.

Brandon I have the speed engineering headers and they are very nice for the money. There about 290 new and in fresno. It's a true 1 7/8. But Texas speed just released a 2 inch header If u have a tubular k member. The collectors are three inch but tsp said it won't bolt to their y pipe?? I don't see why not

Hmm interesting... Yea I think I'm pretty sold on getting the Speed Engineering headers. Sounds like everyone enjoys them & can't beat that price!

They have been out for a while but they are pricing themselves out of the market. Also, they have a new y pipe with an excellent merge on it but I dont understand how its going to work because the driver side is straight like the passenger.

I went Kooks stepped 1 3/4" - 1 7/8" LTs to their True Dual system. No fitment issues whatsoever and no mods required to stock K member.

This was my second exhaust setup on my car - my advice is to not cheap out unless you don't plan to keep the car very long.
