So ya if you have a stock LS motor in the 300 to 440 range than there may be a better bang for the buck on you early investment strategy.

But please allow me to clear up 1 thing as it relates to Granatelli ign wires and EMI and RFI suppression. NOTHING does a better job of suppression then a resister spark plug. It is not the ignition wires job to suppress EMI or RFI its the plugs job.

For years ignition wires have created EMI and RFI so suppression wire was created to fix "the problem" Then everyone realized they were robbing Peter to pay Paul. The aftermarket and E.O.s then started marketing low ohm ignition wires but no one could do 0 ohm and still eliminate the RFI/EMI created by solid core wire.....UNTIL Granatelli. We figured it out and brought the best of both worlds.

So like they say - We did not invent anything - We just made it all work.

So to use the words of Exidous - The Granatelli wires have most EMI suppression
Upper 800's ? Stock coils have powered double that with ease.

Although I'd be interested to see these "too many studies" ? where LS coils have been sued and then replaced with something better ?

If there are proven tests showing power increases I'm sure everyone would love to see them.

Hello all this is Joe Granatelli. I came across this post and just wanted to be clear and repeat what my staff writer wrote. Stock coils work great on stock and modified cars too. But the Granatelli coils are nearly double the output over stock. I cant get into how much power a stock coil will support but stevieturbo I don't think its 1600 as you reported. We private brand coils to lots of companies (many that advertise here under their own name) and although a stock GM coil does a pretty darn good job - Ours does better.

There are countless dyno tests showing Granatelli coils making a notable increase. Our coils are also a great insurance policy when you want the best of the best - everything

Peace please

It's a well debated topic. Stock coils have pushed 2000hp though as mentioned by members over on YB

Certainly I'd love to see these back to back dyno tests ? You seem to imply you have plenty of them ?

That would give people some hard evidence that a more powerful coil is indeed worth it.
