the "toliet" smooth bellows off of ebay
I got suckered and bought one of the crappy toliet smooth bellows off of ebay. Just wondering if anyone has bought one of these also and installed them in their car. Is it safe to use and do u actually gain any HP from a smooth bellow?

I seem to remember people saying to put a glass bowl of water in the microwave and get it boiling. Then drop the rubber piece in the water and let it get really soft. With it soft you can just push it on the TB (using gloves/oven mits), let it cool (can poor cold water over it if you don't want to wait long), and then it will be a perfect match.

I did mine without trimming or heating. It was a royal pain at first... after a year or so it was trained and now it fits perfectly.
It's a Fernco collar for plumbing. I paid around $3 at Home Depot.
There are the F-car specific parts for $40-$60 and there are the diesel (semi truck) air collars for about $12 that fit better. But for the price of the Fernco, I won't complain. I doubt it does much, but it certainly has to flow air smoother than the stock part, so it can't hurt. It sure looks better.
