Belt Thrown For two years I have had this set up, While doing a cam swap I added a new underdrive Harmonic balancer from Texas Speed, of course they send the new belts to go with the set-up. I did notice that with old OEM serp belt that the Tensioner pulley could back travel quite a bit to put tension on the old belt set-up. After the UD Harmonic Balancer and new belt, I could barely get the new belt around the pulley and the tensioner barely traveled back at all. So the Tension Pulley is almost fully opened (for lack of a better term). after about a year I noticed a sqeak from that area could not pin point where from exactly. Then about a month ago the belt either slipped off during a rev or it broke during a a rev. All i remember was reving the car up before it happened. First question, is the Tension pulley designed to operate that far out, and second How do you measure how many pounds is on the belt itself because i know they have limits too. Has anyone else ran into this? Thanks
