Another moment in brilliance... Was changing plugs today and popped my plug socket off the wrench when trying to break one of them free. It dropped below the a.i.r tubing then bounced somewhere below.
I spent over 30-45 minutes trying to track the damn thing down, but I can't even see where the hell it dropped to. Now I don't know if I could cause some damage by starting her up again, but I need to get to work in the morning.
Any suggestions? Didn't break a plug so I guess it could be worse...

Check in the motor mount, or on top of the starter wires. I dropped a socket during my header install and it got hung up in the motor mount I believe. Of course, I have a magnetic pickup too that is good for pocking around for stuff like this.

Yeah I was checking around the motor mount and didn't come up with anything. I checked around all the major belts and pullies and saw nothing, so i'm assuming it should be safe to start it up in the morning if I haven't found it by then.
LOL, I can see it now...the damn thing drops out the bottom while i'm driving down the road. Ah well, I can always get another socket on the way home from work or something (lost the drive to finish up today after this snag).

Yeah check all those 'nooks and crannies' around the top of the k member, I spent some time looking for a socket there once...there's also the chance it hit the ground, rolled it's way into a corner somewhere and is just hiding on you, laughing hysterically as you continue to look for it somewhere on/under the car, tools do that sometimes.
