Default if you have stainless headers....

...do you still need them to be coated? or are they fine just being plain stainless?
TIA

As long as they're the better 304 stainless steel, they're fine just as they are...coating them might help keep things slightly cooler and depending on your preference they may even look better but it's totally unnecessary and more costly of course.

i would assume kooks are 304...anyhow, i want the best headers i can buy and kooks seems to be one of the top, just wondering if i needed to have them coated as well
how much will it raise the temp in the engine and whatnot if they werent coated?

not necessary to coat them...I coated my stainless Kooks for the appearance and added heat retention...

Kooks are 304 yes, as well as the QTPs (which I would get right now if I were in the market for new headers). I personally wouldn't bother getting either one coated though, the temp differences are probably somewhat small.
