Default Ls1 MAF question

I'm swapping a '99 LS1 into a 67 nova. If I wanted to run a 5 wire truck Maf instead of the factory 3 wire to elimante the ait sensor, what negatives would I be up against as far as tune, etc. I realize it would need a tune to be optimized but would I really notice a big difference on basically stock motor and tune?

All swaps need tuning if nothing else than to delete the emission stuff you won't be using and the VATS. Setting it up for a truck MAF is no issue at all for any competent tuner.

Ok, thanks. I've already sent the computer in and had it flashed to removed emissions, cars etc so that's taken care of. Will it start and run alright without a tune for the new MAF just for a while until I can actually get it tuned right? I just didn't know how much it will be affected.
