Unless I can find a smoking deal on a used 92mm, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the FAST 102mm intake. There are several threads out there now of guys actually documenting the installation process and what all was needed to make it work, so I feel confident I can get it done without too much of a headache. I just don't want to leave any on the table when it's all said and done.

I've taken mine off about 4 times since I originally installed. I'm good enough now I can get it out in and out in probably 35-40 mins. It still takes time because half the bolts are covered by the cowl. Install the fuel rails first.

And as said before, the skinny injectors will fit the manifold better. The fat ones don't seal up well. I bought L9H injectors for $230 and they are 42lbs and the data is good. They are LS3 sized, so I bought some FIC spacers. You just need the 14mm o-rings that come with the FAST vs the 11mm that come with the injectors (I believe).

Yeah, I've pretty much made up my mind to sell my current injectors. I'm seriously thinking about getting a set of 80lb injectors since adding a Procharger is in the plans down the road.

The map you can run a hose from from the nipple on the back of the intake and not have to relocate or knock the hole in the intake. Thats how mines been for a few years and the car is speed density tuned. No issues with it.

If you do the 80s, get the mid-length Siemens. They can be tuned well and aren't super expensive for what they are.

Otherwise, ID850s.

Btw, I have some Ford GT500 47lbs injectors flow-matched. They flow about 60lbs in our rail. They are correct length for the FAST and stock rail (45mm length). Spray pattern works for NA but not ideal. Would work better in an FI combo.

Would those, or the 80lb injectors work well for NA? I will remain NA for a while until I've got the D1SC setup pieced together, which could be some time. What are the negatives to running an 80lb set of injectors in NA form?

I didn't make any more power switching to a 102 over a 90.

^^^ you and me both. well,i actually went with bigger headers ( 1 7/8 v/s 1 3/4 ) and went with a 100 maf instead of an 85mm along with the ported 102. i picked up 10-15 rwtq but i actually LOST 10-15 rwhp. imagine that.

Was this on the same dyno?

p.m sent. one thing that did change that i didn't try was i used a set of drag radials after changes compared to regular radials. i will try that just to see if there is a difference but unlikely since my strip times didn't improve any.

Seems the 90 was feeding your motor sufficiently?

That does seem a bit odd. I would think a 408 would gain across the board with the 102. As with the header swap also. Usually gain hp maybe lose some tq. Could have been the wheels.

Was your 90 ported? I'm in the process of taking mine off and taking it to Formato for porting.

90 seemed to feed it fine. I'm not sure where the threshold is but I'm not there. I would've thought slow trap woulda seen a improvement tho.

Yea both the 90 and 102 i ported. The 102 i actually port matched trying to get it all.

How much do you think you picked up with the port on the 90? I am hoping to squeeze every little bit out of mine with the just the cam and stock heads.

Depending on who's doing the porting, you typically see between 7 to 12 HP increase.

You should see a decent gain. There is alot of material to that gets removed to shape it like it needs to be. Fasts leave alot to be desired out of the box.

I run a ported 90 and cant imagine gaining anything going to a 102. If I were buying one from a ls6 then id do the 102 and do it once for future mods.
102 or 92 was not an option when I done the ported 90

Guys, I'm going FAST 102/102 setup, done deal. Read this. It's from Jamie R, who has a thread in here. He switched from a ported FAST 92mm to a ported FAST 102mm.

Alright the car hit the rollers Tuesday night and I cant believe the results and my bud that has tuned the car both times cant even believe it.
495/419 from the previous best of 431/396 !!
Here is the weather difference between the pulls last year and this year.
91.8 degrees 55% humidity 29.38 pressure last year

80.7 degrees 59% humidity 29.28 pressure this year

Average Numbers from before to now
256 rwhp 271 trq
335 rwhp 378 trq

These pulls were on the same dyno by the same tuner both times. The only thing I can think of that has made the jump this big is the little things done that were never dynoed after the initial tune last year, like the swap from 1 3/4 headers to 1 7/8 and the exhaust being opened up right after the merge collector. This is also a Speed Density tune this time because the maf was eliminated. Well theres the results and I'll post the pics of the sheets side by side shortly. My gains are very high and not typical so maybe this was weather, previous mods, and then the ported 102 shined with all that, I don't know and Im still amazed. The car does feel faster now after driving it home yesterday.

Does your car have 1 7/8 headers already?
