up voltage to coils?

up voltage to coils? Has anyone played with boosting the supply voltage to the coils (make them get 16volts vs. 14)? My thought was some kind of trasformer inline with the positive lead to the coil but don't know what exactly I would use and what the negatives would be. Anyone?
