Hopefully someone corrects me if I'm wrong but a vacuum line goes from 3 to 6.

7 goes to your break booster
2 goes to 1
8 goes to the radiator
3 goes to 6

Here is also a couple pictures to help ya out. It's my ls1 but still should be some help

Also what about running a catch can? Where does that fall into the mix?

Catch can goes in line with the vacuum line that has the PCV valve. In the last pic lower hose that connects behind TB.

Default Help with vacuum lines

#4 is for the FPR I believe
The little one by #7 is for the HVAC controls
The hole by #7 is for the MAP sensor.

Also 6&3 don't go to each other. They're both crankcase vents.

6 can be blocked and 3 goes to 2, as long as the valley cover is an 04+ ls6 cover

This should help with the ls6 valley cover you have and the pcv routing.

#1-2-3-6 are for the PCV system. Get a catch can and follow their instructions to hook it up with the LS6 valley cover you have. http://www.mightymousesolutions.com/

#4 is for the EVAP. If you are going to vent your fuel tank to a charcoal can or just run a breather you can cap it.

#5 is the steam vents. Run this to the radiator.

#7 is for the brake booster. Cap it if you don't need it.

#8/9 would connect in between the radiator and your steam port in #5. Get rid of them and just run #5 to the radiator. You can take a pair of channel locks and twist the nipples out of the throttle body.

There are hoses going in and out of the catch can. You asked where they go without the catch can. The hoses going in and out of the can get connected.
If this isn't what you asked, explain yourself better.
