The oil pressure sensor on the back of the intake that many people break while removing the intake....if it is faulty will it cause a condition where the car runs for just a sec and then dies, or does it only send a signal to the gauge and not effect anything on the ecm.

ive seen that on other GM models the oil pressure switch Is ground to the fuel pump, but I doubt they are like that on fbody (assuming you have one) have you removed the intake to suspect that it is broken?
