Default power steering pump swap. now belt squeaking

I just replaced psp on my 2000 ws6. Install was a success but now the belt is squealing- is there a way to tell if the pulley is on too far or not enough? everything looks straight and inline- have never had a squeaking belt until the psp swap, thanks in advance, andrew
