I did the 92mm and ported it myself, picked up 20rwhp over the ls6 intake. I didn't want to deal with possibly hitting the water pump And having to change that too. My tuner said I probably would gain another 5 rwhp with the 102, I figured he would know since he dynos the things all the time.

The FAST 102mm LSXRT with 102 NW TB have been a major pain to deal with on my 3rd gen camaro with a 383 LS1. Lots of idle & stall issues that hurt drivability. Given my car is a driver, a FAST 92mm set up would have been better for daily driving in my case.

The major pain is not the 102 intake.. It's the NW 102 TB...

I run the FAST 102 / NW C5R (older version) 102 TB on my built 414ci Z06. It's perfect!

Getting ready to pick up a 92 for my SS.. Having a G5X2 installed this weekend, and my builder is porting, mil ing some 243's I picked up from a friend.

Some of my Vette buds have tried the MSD and all but 1 have scrapped it for the 102...

Happy yours drives perfect.

102 mm set ups seem harder to get right for driveability than the 92mm set ups, regardless of if it's the intake or TB to blame. I'm basing that on what both tuners have said that have worked on mine. Both worked with a lot of 102 LSXR set ups and 92 set ups.

Im kind of at this cross roads myself. Been thinking about picking up a fast but dont know if its worth it to go through all the trouble of installing a 102, sure it looks like it makes more power overall from what I've seen but having to buy all the extra stuff for just a few more hp is starting to look like it isn't worth it to me. With the fast 92 you can pretty much just bolt it right on

A 102mm TB is harder to tune especially on a DBW setup. The intake isn't nearly as big of an issue. I've run the 102 and 92. Both were very easy to tune in. A 90mm vs 102mm TB were day and night in ease of tuning. I'm on a SBE LS1 though.

^^^ Yeah, I want to see it too. You don't see the LSxRT on many 4th gens. I think I remember reading somewhere where the LSxRT is worth an extra 10 to 15 HP over the regular FAST 102mm.

Keep this thread updated once you've got it between the frame-rails. I want to see just how much you've got to cut on the cowl to get it to fit. Are you already prepared to lose the wipers, or do you think you can retain them?

The two manifolds are actually very different when you take them apart. The 102 has individual bolt in runners while the 90/92 has an "intermediate shell".

Thanks for posting that comparison KCS. That's how people are able to "modify" the individual runners on a FAST 102 setup. I know guys have shortened them. I just wish FAST was going to produce the interchangeable runners for the cathedral port platform.

I'd spend some time sealing the individual runners on the 102's. I've heard from too many people "in the industry" that the way they're put together the actual runners themselves leak along the seams (where the halves of the runner meet).

I'd still take a 92 over a 102...
