Help with TSP Header Leak Hello all, I have a 00 SS with TSP headers and the TSP rumbler dual exhaust. I have an exhaust leak by cylinder 8 that I can't fix for the life of me. Tried loosening and tightening in multiple different sequences, middle out, cylinder 8 forward, and just yesterday I put copper high temp rtv on the manifold side of the gasket and let it sit over night but still no luck. Any suggestions? Could the flange be bent? They've only been on the car 6 months. Only other thing I can think of is getting a thicker gasket for that side. Currently have the GM MLS gaskets.

I'm lost. Rtv didn't work. Ordered some Percy's seal 4 good gaskets, installed on passenger side, test drove and the leak was much quieter, let the car cool down overnight, snugged back up the bolts and the leak is loud again!
Unless there was some debris or build up on the cylinder head where the flange goes, or the same on the flange of the header, then you either have something in one of the bolt holes on the head or you have cross threaded a bolt back there and its not pulling the flange all the way to the head or the flange is not straight for whatever reason. You are gonna have to pull the header back off and check the flange with a straight edge and check the bolt holes in the head.
Check everything that Full-Force said. We've seen people break the tips off their exhaust bolts when removing them and not know it. Leaving a small tip still stuck in the head and not letting the bolt thread all the way in. If you do check with a straight edge and for some crazy reason the flange is bent call us directly at 512-863-0900 so we can get you taken care of.
