Tired of exhaust leaks. Best way to seal clamps?

Understandably, welding your y-pipe to the header collector will eliminate exhaust leaks at that place, but nobody is stupid enough to agree to doing that. Any tricks out there for successfully sealing exhaust leaks at the band clamp? High temp RTV, exhaust repair tape, let me know whats worked for you.

get the wide band clamps , i think they are 3" wide , smear them with red rtv and tighten them down with an air tool till it stops moving . Works on my brothers kooks true duals and worked on all the rvs, buses and motor homes he worked on .
