can an exhaust leak cause p0300

can an exhaust leak cause p0300 getting the p0300 random misfire code and I have an exhaust leak, can it cause that code or do I need to look somewhere else? about the only thing wrong I can think of other than a while back the transmission (auto) acted a little funky.
