Default Anybody have pics of inside of Texas speeds new style merge?????

I've searched for pics but couldn't find any. I found p.s. and hooker pics and OMG!!! I'm sure t.s. Is a lot better inside but would like to see pics without taking mine off. Thinking of doing the manga flow or flowmaster merge. Thx

From what I hear their new merge is pretty decent, so with that said I don't think it would be worth the time or money to switch to something like a FM merge. That's just my opinion

they should have made the outlet of the TSP Y-pipe 3" instead of 2.75". however, i understand they wanted it to bolt up to the catbacks that are currently out there

Ya i knew there new merge was a great inprovement vs old style and alot better design then others out there. If inside doesnt look like p.s. and hooker id leave that part alone and just make the 2.75 to 3". Debating wether it would be worth it or not though? Im lookkng for every fraction of a tenth I can get lol. If it gives me .05 of a 1/10 id be happy. Also i know the lm2 resonator goes from 3" to 2.5"(inside) to 3". Is there a direct fit resonator that is 3" all the way through? Is the borla xr1 3" all the way ? Whats your guys thoughts on both ? Thx

Yes the magnaflow 14419 muffler is a direct swap and has a 3" core. I swapped my LM1 for this.

As far as the merge goes I don't think you would even be able to measure the differece at the track between say a FM merge vs your TSP merge

Thx for quick reply and part #. Whats your opinion on the lm2 vs magna flow sound wise Notice anything performance wise/throttle response? I know its not gonna add 5hp or anything but 3" all the way through has to be better then 2.5

Compared to the LM1 I had it was night and day difference lol. Much deeper sound with much less rasp. From what I've read the Magnaflow 14419 will sound very similar to LM2, but I can't confirm of course. No noticeable difference in throttle response or power....just a better and smoother tone.

Ya i think ive read that also. Biggest diff between the lm2 and magnaflow is the magna is 3" all the way through correct? Any clearance issues? Looks like magnaflows canister is bigger. Thx again!

If you want to get every tenth why don't you run true duals?

Yeah I just checked and it's listed as a 3" inner core with a 5"outer diameter. If it's different than my LM1 in any way, it wasn't much at all since the exhaust shop said it fit right in with no issue whatsoever. As far as clearance it does just fine....no different than the LM1 from what I can tell

Ok Thx alot for your input hci2000ss As for true duals ive done hours of research and i havent come across any proof that it would add even 1 tenth. Most say you loose bottom end and say i wouldnt see a diff from my current setup. If anybody has hard proof that id gain anything from td im all for it!!! So chime in and lets hear the proof? Thx

No problem man. I remember reading where a properly setup merge and ORY will flow just as good as true duals. I'm just curious what is your total exhaust setup consist of?

Gotcha. I run Pacesetter long tubes and ORY with a FM merge along with SLP catback with the Magnaflow in place of the LM1. I've thought about a cutout, but a buddy of mine gained only 4 hp on a very similar setup.

To be completely honest I wouldn't touch your exhaust, and spend money elsewhere.

If you could list all your mods that would definitely be helpful, because sometimes there's a mod or two more that might have never crossed the mind

That's pretty much full bolt ons I'd say lol. At this point your cheapest bang for the buck will be nitrous. Otherwise heads cam or blower or turbo. You might be able to find a good used Fast intake for cheap, then sell your LS6, but I wouldn't personally
