Did you recently do any radiator work? If so, if you spilled any coolant on the belt, it could do that, but you'd probably also notice the horrible smell too.

mine was a glazed a/c belt. try to listen to the belts and pulleys using a length of hose or mechanics stethescope.

It's more than likely the A/C idler. You can get one aftermarket.

WAIT, before you go buying parts just spray some lubricant like PB Lube, Marvel's Mystery Oil, etc, on all the pulleys. Just a simple fix that worked for me.

PS, spray behind the pulley where it would mount to the mount. Sorry if I misconcepted spraying the actual pulleys. That wouldn't solve anything. Hehe....

My a/c belt tensioner pulley was the culprit. It's gone now, though.

Could be a bad idler pulley. I sprayed WD-40 into the pulley bearings while they were spinning and listened to which one made the speaking stopped. I found the bad one, but the squeaking went away on its own. I hs gotten some water in the bearing and it dried out.
