Intake Manifolds - FAST vs. MSD
I didn't want to interrupt that great conversation with this question.
The FAST 92 makes good power, uses stock LS1 fuel rails, and easily fits under the stock hood.
The FAST 102 makes better power at the top end, needs aftermarket or LS2 fuel rails, and the hood needs to be cut for a lot of applications.
The MSD makes about the same power as the FAST 102. But it uses stock LS1 fuel rails.
Question: Does that mean the MSD is about the same height as the FAST 92? Will the MSD intake manifold easily fit under a stock hood?
I'd steer clear of the MSD intake. There are several people on here who ran into issue after issue. Lot's of fitment issues and lots of issues with the actual manufacturing of the intake itself.
For a heads and cam ls1 the fast 102 will make a few more hp than the 92 but also have the fitment issues of the MSD.
The MSD will outperform on a high rpm (7000+) ls1
The fast 92 is by far the easiest swap

I had not heard of the MSD fitment issues. I'll have to research that.
