Default LS1 intake gasket replacement question

Do you have to use any RTV on the actual o rings themselves? I know some people mentioned putting a thick bead along the front back back where it meets up, does anyone have anymore information on this subject? Thank you!

Intake gaskets on an LS1 are installed dry. They stay in place on the manifold and you bolt it up. Probably some of the easiest gaskets ever.

Do not use RTV. Pull the intake, remove the old gaskets and clean thoroughly, then install new gaskets into intake and re-install.
