Default Best aftermarket AC Compressor

Looking to replace my AC Compressor. My case is leaking. What brand is most reliable aside from the factory original?

How about this: Who has purchased an aftermarket AC Compressor that failed? What brands would one stay away from?

I'm going to be needing one as well as mine is leaking. I've had very good success with Delphi brands. I bought one for my `99 Suburban a couple of years ago This is the part that rockauto is showing: DELPHI CS0134. I would stay away from anything Duralast. Other sh!tty brands elude my mind at the moment.

I have a ToughOne/Carquest brand compressor from Advance. It's only been in there for a week, but works perfectly fine. I also changed my orifice tube, condenser, accumulator/drier as well. The air blows ice cold now!

The best part about buying local is that it is easier to warranty out. Just buy one that is new rather than re manufactured and you should be fine, as long as you at least change your orifice tube and other necessary components and make sure there's no leaks in the system.

Thanks for the response. I had hoped to avoid replacing the other components but it seems that it is necessary.

At minimum I would replace the reciever/dryer and the orifice tube, evacuate and charge. Certainly won't hurt to replace the condenser but it's probably just fine. Just clean out the fins and call it good.

From my experience, they all fail after time. Your best bet is to buy one with a lifetime warranty so at least the part will be covered when you have to replace it again.
