Default Knock sensor help needed!

Can somebody please tell me the correct part number for the knock sensor that goes in a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am LS1?
I am getting two different part numbers between AutoZone Amazon and Summit Racing. Is it 12589867 or 213-3521?

Those are the same part. The 213-3521 is the ACD number and the 12589867 is the GM number.

Thanks. Now debating on whether to use FelPro or GM gaskets.

For the intake? I used felpros and they work just the same I'd imagine.

Fel-Pro works perfect for the intake manifold.

Thanks all. I ordered all the parts and a buddy with an LS3 said he'd help out if I needed help. I think it will work out well and at most I'll just need to buy a torque wrench. Doing all GM parts with FelPro intake gaskets. Hopefully this solves my PO332!

No I wasn't going to. Can you just get a modded LS or new LS 6 valley cover without messing with the engine?

No, the LS1 block will need this modification.

HOWEVER, your car may have come with the LS6 block which won't need the mod.

My PCV leads out of the rear of the drivers side valve cover so I think it's an LS1.

This is correct for an F-body, even if it was one of the vehicles that received the LS6 block. The LS1 AND LS6 blocks used in Camaro/Firebird production will always use the Camaro/Firebird LS1 style PCV system.

Regardless, the LS6 PCV mod is a smart upgrade and worth the effort and small cost. If you have a LS1 block, cut out the nub in the block, it's easy. If you have a LS6 block, no cutting needed.

Ok I got you. I thought the 6 block had the vented valley cover. I couldn't see anything with a mirror looking for the 6 block number.

I'm not sure if you've started this project yet but once you pull the valley cover, you'll know. With the estimate of 10~15% of F-bodies getting the LS6 block in 2001, it's unlikely that you have one but there's a chance.

If it were me doing the job, assume it'll need cutting and hope it won't, just to eliminate the one step in the work.

That's a good idea. I'll look for the cutting wheels and ready the shop vac! Too bad the engine is still in the car, otherwise I'd be tempted to do a cam and heads. Not sure if it would pass emission then
